About Us

The Mississippi Polymer Institute (MPI) was established in 1993 with the goal of growing high-tech polymer and polymer-related industries in Mississippi. Serving as the Industrial Outreach organization for The University of Southern Mississippi, MPI has played a key role in growing the state's multibillion-dollar-per-year, high-tech polymer industry, and has directly assisted in the creation of thousands of jobs.

MPI remains focused on providing world class support and services to inventors, start-ups, and companies worldwide. These services include ISO 17025 accredited physical and analytical testing and analysis, tailored workforce development training, 3D printing and CAD services, product troubleshooting, third-party complaint investigations, and product development and scale-up.
