The Greater Pinebelt Community Foundation is hosting a bourbon celebration/fundraiser. The community foundation is celebrating our 20th anniversary this year and we wanted to do it in a “Big” way. Our mission at the Greater PineBelt Community Foundation is to strengthen the community by connecting charitably minded people to causes that matter most. From enhancing education, arts and culture, historic preservation and neighborhood enrichment to attending to the needs of those in the community who are hungry, poor or abused…we touch lives, one story at a time.
Currently, the PineBelt Foundation manages more than 150 charitable funds set up by compassionate donors who want to leave a legacy and make a difference. Our beneficiaries are non-profit organizations, schools and churches. Some of our funds are endowments that annually provide a reliable source of income to non-profits, and some of them are spend down funds or fiscal sponsorships for charitable projects.
Since our inception, we have disbursed more than $11 million in grants to non-profit organizations, churches, schools and for community projects. In 2016, we disbursed more than $1.8 million in the following areas arts, community enhancement, education, health, youth, human services, religion, and for scholarships.
There is no better way to celebrate our 20 years of impact on the community than to host an event that is truly one of a kind. The community foundation has been planning this event with great success. Businesses in the community have partnered with us by donating products and services, signing up to be a sponsor, and getting involved in spreading the word about this spectacular celebration.
